For enterprises and individuals around the world, January is the perfect time to reflect on the previous year and set goals for the year ahead. For WhereScape, 2018 was a time of incredible milestones and customer success. And we are ready for an even better 2019, continuing to empower IT teams through data infrastructure automation.

Here are just a few of the highlights we experienced in 2018:

Recognized by Industry Experts

WhereScape closed out the year with three award wins in the technology sector.

Cloud Awards - 2018-2019 Best Cloud Automation Solution
WhereScape automation was named a finalist for its excellence in innovation at the Cloud Awards. This award program stands as one of the longest-standing of its kind and recognizes companies who are innovative and unique in their approaches to helping organizations harness the power of the cloud.

2019 DBTA Trend Setting Product for Data and Information Management
With technology and data management evolving rapidly, it’s important to have the right tools for the job. WhereScape was honored as a 2019 DBTA Trend Setting Product, one of a chosen list of products that help organizations achieve greater value from their data and business leaders to make decisions faster, smarter and more securely.

Datanami - Top 5 Vendors to Watch
The Datanami Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards recognizes the companies, products and projects that have made a difference in the big data community throughout the year. Editors at Datanami selected WhereScape as one of the ‘Top 5 Vendors to Watch’ in the technology industry.

Big Wins for WhereScape Customers

WhereScape is only as successful as its customers, and WhereScape customers are winning big! This past fall, WhereScape customer Kaiser Permanente was recognized at the 2018 Teradata Analytics Conference as the winner of the Relationship Voyager award.

Kaiser Permanente earned the award based on its production of dashboards and reports that give healthcare providers both a high-level summary and the capability to drill-down to individual patients to see who was prescribed, but did not take, critical medication. Through this project, the organization was able to achieve a two percent improvement in medical adherence – an impactful difference in this particular area of healthcare. Congratulations, Kaiser Permanente!

While Kaiser Permanente’s “win” was marked by a Teradata Opti award, many WhereScape customers have also shared with us daily wins they’ve experienced with WhereScape automation.

In our last blog post we  shared a letter we received from Cecil Jones, Manager of IT at Valmont Industries, describing the big win his team was able to deliver using WhereScape automation. There is nothing better than hearing how automation is helping teams to deliver faster, and at less cost.

Here is another win received this past year from Carl Richards, Business Intelligence Development Manager at Simplyhealth:

“We couldn’t be happier. The results in efficiency alone are worth the investment several times over. Refresh times are now happening 87.5% faster, the solution only took one developer four weeks to set up as opposed to an entire team taking 18 months previously. And an average change now only taking minutes as opposed to anything from four to seven hours previously.”

WhereScape customer Xero recently recorded this video to share how using WhereScape automation enabled them to move to Amazon Redshift from Microsoft SQL Server within its company mandated timeline, and with less manpower and hassle.
