Five of New Zealand’s top entrepreneurs have been named as category winners in this country’s most prestigious business awards, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year.

The five are:

  • Mark Rice (CDB Goldair) Category: Products
  • Michael Whitehead (WhereScape Software) Category: Services
  • Vaughan Rowsell (Vend) Category: Technology and emerging industries
  • Dan Radcliffe (International Volunteer HQ) Category: Young
  • Patrick Teo (BCS Group) Category: Master

Chairman of the judging panel, Greg Cross from PowerbyProxi, says all five category winners are running businesses that are making an impact internationally. “They are already achieving big things on the international stage and have the potential to go a great deal further.”

EY New Zealand Entrepreneur Of The Year awards director, Jon Hooper, says what stands out with this year’s category winners is the innovation they are all achieving, combined with an absolute determination to be globally significant businesses in their respective industries.

The five category winners will appear before the judging panel again on 15 October when an overall winner will be chosen to represent New Zealand at EY’s World Entrepreneur Of The Year™ event in Monaco next June when the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year will be chosen.
