Boulder, CO – July 8, 2016 –- WhereScape, the data warehouse automation pioneer with software solutions for profiling, building, extending and managing data warehouses, analytic systems and big data platforms, today announced a strategic partnership with Dan Linstedt, founder and inventor of the Data Vault Data Model and Methodology and president of Empowered Holdings, LLC, an IT consultancy focusing on Data Vault, Big Data, NoSQL, and self-service BI.  The announcement was made at the Boulder BI Brain Trust (BBBT), where WhereScape is briefing BBBT members on its latest customer wins, upcoming product announcements, and future product roadmap.

Data Vault modeling for data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) development projects provides long-term historical storage of data coming in from multiple operational systems. It is also a method of looking at historical data that deals with issues such as auditing, tracing of data, loading speed and resilience to change.

Under the terms of the agreement, WhereScape will deliver automated Data Vault 2.0 development solutions based on Linstedt’s methodology and best practices and consistent with his vision and requirements.  Linstedt will advise WhereScape on its Data Vault initiatives and regularly meet with WhereScape’s R&D team to provide feedback on WhereScape’s customer-driven Data Vault development activities.

“Data Vault 2.0 provides an extensible approach to design that enables agile development and helps organizations implement data warehouses and BI much faster,” said Linstedt.  “Data Vault’s proven methodology enables organizations to avoid development mistakes while at the same time keeping them audit friendly and ready.  What attracted me to WhereScape is its ease of use, automation and code generation capabilities, and the growing number of organizations around the world that are successfully using WhereScape for Data Vault development,” Linstedt said.

“We are excited to be partnering with Dan Linstedt, truly the pioneer and leading authority on the Data Vault data model,” said WhereScape President Mark Budzinski.  “WhereScape’s automation solutions enable Data Vault agile project delivery through accelerated development, documentation and deployment without sacrificing quality or flexibility.  The integration and synergy between the Data Vault 2.0 methodology and WhereScape’s automation solutions enable organizations to deliver analytical results to decision-makers in hours and days instead of weeks and months while lowering risk and reducing costs,” Budzinski said.
